How Technology helps Human

Technology has impacted humans and become a significant aspect of life in the 21st century. Since technologies feeds itself, computer, and software are constantly doing task faster and better than ever before, machines are now replacing humans and taking over jobs that employees used to do. In fact, we can’t live without technology, and it has facilitated in our lives so much that were getting dependent on technology with communication, and transportation. We also benefit from technology in various job fields such as, discoveries of new medicine, education, and our economy (local and globally) to double their production. However, not all technology has been used for good purposes; the development of weapons of mass destructive and nuclear weapons has progressed throughout history.

  1. In many ways I think that technology has weakened our society. I wonder if Americans have the stamina and will power to resist the cycle of bad luck, terrorism, wars, plagues, etc. that have befallen humans since the beginning of time. What do you think?

  2. Mark, almost all technology in the United States started with a military purpose. The microwave oven started out as a microwave radio for the military (caused corn to pop while in use); the facsimile (fax) machine was developed to send maps to troops in the field; GPS was an upgrade to the fax machine; Teflon was for space ships; Kevlar was an upgrade to the flak jacket and the internet was a “Cold War” invention to communicate with troop even if the Pentagon was bombed.

It seems as if all our best and brightest are employed by the government and not the private sector. No wonder we are falling behind to Asian countries.
